M A G S is the artist pseudonym for emerging Toronto based melodic house and afro-tech DJ/producer, Shayne Maglay.

M A G S' style merges house and techno by incorporating organic instrumentation, rolling basslines, piano motifs, deep house groves, latin/afro percussion, and electronic arpeggiation - creating a sound that is specific and unique to himself.

Born Canadian to artistic parents of Irish and Slovak descent, M A G S comes from a music background having played piano and drums since childhood. He began producing his own music in 2022 and has since made a name for himself quickly in Toronto's electronic music scene, as well as internationally.

Having had the fortunate privilege to travel much of the world and live in Europe for extended periods of time throughout his life, M A G S has developed a deep appreciation for many genres, cultures and musical instruments. It is because of this experience that one of M A G S' strongest assets is his familiarity with diverse genres, instruments, and global music trends.

M A G S is known for his ability to incorporate multiple themes into his performances and set a vibe with variety, excitement and surprising technical transitions. As a new emerging artist, M A G S has demonstrated a consistent tack record of success thus far and has been referred to as a 'rising star' and 'one to watch' by both local and international venues and promoters.
